Can anyne help me identify the following?

First the cone kits: 15", with a loooong coil former and a 6" diameter spider, genuine Altec, but nothing like I've run across before.

The cabs are a lot like that from the 846, but are factory gray, no bass ports, and used a recessed 311-90 horn. Model #?

    Thanks, DG

    Conelrad,

    Cone kit; 3156 woofer?

Cab; No guess on that one. I have never seen any Altec box system that used the 311-90.

I have a set of Altec Boleros with the 406-8c woofers 2 things, there is some rubing(voice coil) on 1 woofer when I push gently on the dust cover,it doen`t seem to effect the sound should I do something about it and also someone has replaced the horn with a rather cheap looking plastic thing that is abit larger than the hole, is there something better out there, thankig you in advance.

Conelrad, if they turn out to be 3156 recone kits, I'd be interested in them if you don't have a use for them!

    Greets!

Hmm, reading between the lines so to speak since the 311s don't have any mounting flange to mount it in a cab other than in a bass port, it sounds like a later version of the 9846 studio monitor, which had a sealed 411 and rare 511E/288 horn, which at a glance might be mistaken for a 311-90 due to the big driver and Aquaplas coating.
